The 2016’s edition of the London Field Trip took place in the last week of September 2016, from the 26th to the 30th. The main goal of this trip was to get a first-hand contact with the real financial world, at Europe’s financial capital. At his trip, we had the opportunity not only to visit the major financial institutions but to actually network with its high-qualified professionals.
During our week in London, we successfully arranged meetings with major players in the financial landscape, such as Morgan Stanley, BlackRock, Citigroup, Nomura, HSBC, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank and Aberdeen Asset Management.
As finance students working towards an international career in the Financial Services industry, the opportunity to visit these companies and directly connect with experienced professionals in the industry, gaining an insight into the daily life of their professionals was and unique and valuable experience. Most of the programs at the companies were hosted by NIC’s Alumni.
We believe our expectations and goals on the trip were fully accomplished . The trip was the perfect way to start the Masters degree in Finance, by gaining real insights on the financial environment and know how it is to be part of this complex world. Moreover, being in direct contact with the HR departments allowed us to be better prepared for the recruitment processes.
